Some orthodontic problems should be corrected whilst the baby teeth are still present. Early diagnosis and interceptive orthodontic treatment can help prevent more serious problems from arising. This can also provide a guide for good dental and facial growth and development.
Not all treatment should be started early, however. More normally, we start orthodontic treatment after most of the baby teeth have fallen out. This concentrates the treatment time, so our patients do not have to spend years in treatment trying to achieve the same outcome. Maximally efficient treatment saves you time and money.
